About 4 years ago my husband and I came to the Green River after hearing about it from some friends of ours. The first couple of days wade fishing was kind of rough because we didn't know the river. Our friends had told us about a guide they used when they were here so we went to Trout Creek Fly Shop in Dutch John and asked to go out with Gene.
Our first time with Gene was awesome. We caught lots of fish and learned a great deal about how the fish work on this river. Gene was very good about showing us and teaching us new techniques of fly fishing and was very patient with us when things got a little "tangled" due to the winds.
We've been coming to the Green every year now and every time, we go out with Gene. We came at Antelope Flats which is on the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. It's quiet with beautiful views of the lake. The sunsets are absolutely the best.
The Green holds lots of fish. Getting them to bite can be tricky but once you know what they want you will be reeling in large Browns, Rainbows
